The PHV 1200W series 15kV to 50kV variable high voltage power supply features high power density designed in 2U 19-in rack mount. Compared to low-power (30W 100W) and high-power (5kW 10kW) high voltage power supplies, the PHV 1200W series offers medium power with superior energy efficiency, a compact footprint, and lower costs, delivering excellent value for “slow-charge” applications like burn-in testing for accelerated life testing of high-voltage capacitors.

The PHV 1200W series 15kV to 50kV high voltage power supply features Constant Voltage/Constant Current (CV/CC) modes, enabling precise control over the aging process. During the initial charging phase, it delivers a constant current (like 60mA), causing the voltage to rise linearly; as the voltage approaches the setpoint (like 20kV), the unit seamlessly switches to constant voltage mode, with the current automatically tapering off. This operational profile effectively prevents inrush current surges at startup, thereby extending the lifespan of both the capacitor and the power supply.

Short-circuit protection: Limits current by operating in constant current mode during an output short-circuit.

Interlock loop: Connects to an external safety switch to ensure rapid high-voltage cutoff during abnormal conditions.

Soft-start: Hardware-based soft-start with voltage ramp-up time by PC control software.

RS232 & RS485 communication interfaces: for easy system integration and automated control.
