The PHV 1200W series 15kV to 50kV high voltage power supply features Constant Voltage/Constant Current (CV/CC) modes, enabling precise control over the aging process. During the initial charging phase, it delivers a constant current (like 60mA), causing the voltage to rise linearly; as the voltage approaches the setpoint (like 20kV), the unit seamlessly switches to constant voltage mode, with the current automatically tapering off. This operational profile effectively prevents inrush current surges at startup, thereby extending the lifespan of both the capacitor and the power supply.
Short-circuit protection: Limits current by operating in constant current mode during an output short-circuit.
Interlock loop: Connects to an external safety switch to ensure rapid high-voltage cutoff during abnormal conditions.
Soft-start: Hardware-based soft-start with voltage ramp-up time by PC control software.
