Signal Sources

A signal source, also know as signal generator, is an electronic device that generates repeatative electronic signals. They are a critical instrument for educational purposes, electronics and electrical engineering for testing and design.

According to their purpose and types of output waveforms, Signal sources (signal generators) are categorized into several types:

  • Function generator (FG): produces standard waveforms, like sine, square, triangle, ram, pulse waves.
  • Arbitrary Waveform Generator (AWG): produces complex user-defined waveforms that are not limited to standard waveforms.
  • Pulse generator: produces a stream of digital pulses or square waves.
  • RF signal generator: produces signals in the radio frequency range, generally from kHz to GHz.

Our signal sources (signal generators) includes function generator, arbitrary waveform generator and RF signal generator.
