Analog Oscilloscopes

Analogue oscilloscope, also called cathode ray oscilloscope (CRO), as the name implies it employs a cathode ray tube (CRT) to display electrical signals in visible waveforms. The displayed waveform can then be analyzed for properties such as amplitude, frequency, rise time, time interval, distortion, and others.

The key parts of an analog oscilloscope include vertical amplifier, horizontal amplifier, time base, trigger circuit, cathode ray tube and power supply.

Two key advantages of analog oscilloscope are:

  1. It provides a real-time display of the signal waveform, allowing engineers to observe and analyze signals as they occur.
  2. The displayed waveform is smooth, continuous on the CRT screen, allowing for a more natural observation of signal behaviors.

Because of these unique advantages, analog oscilloscopes are preferred in certain scientific research applications, such as audio engineering, physics and engineering.

TWINTEX provides brand new analog oscilloscopes, ranging in bandwidth of 20MHz 30MHz 40MHz 50MHz and 100MHz. All of them are dual channel analog oscilloscopes, with selection of built-in frequency counter or component tester.
