AC Power Sources
An AC power source, also known as AC power supply, provides variable power and variable frequency to AC-powered devices. Having adjustable output voltage, frequency and waveform, an AC power sources can simulate different kinds of electrical grids, as well as grid interruption, surges, fault conditions. They are widely used in laboratory testing, R&D and industrial production.
By phase configuration, AC power sources can be divided into two categories: single phase AC power source and three phase AC power source.
- A single phase AC power source uses two-wire connection: one phase wire and one neutral wire (L+N). Single-phase power is normally used for small devices, most typically home appliances and office appliances.
- A three phase AC power source uses three-wire connection: three phase wires (L1+L2+L2). Three-phase power is normally used for high-power equipments and machineries, for example heavy motors, compressors.
In the range of single phase AC power source, TWINTEX provides three product series:
APS series, capacity 350VA to 3kVA, frequency 45Hz to 250Hz
TFC61 series, capacity 5kVA to 800kVA, frequency 45Hz to 400Hz
TFC400-61 series, capacity 500VA to 800kVA, frequency 320Hz to 480Hz
In the range of three phase AC power source, TWINTEX also provides two product series:
TFC63 series, capacity 3kVA to 800kVA, frequency 45Hz to 65Hz
TFC400-63 series, capacity 1.5kVA to 800kVA, frequency 320Hz to 480Hz
Customization on voltage range and frequency range can be adapted case by case.
